Esteban Paladini

Esteban, the chance to paint music

by Michele Quirici

There are so many forms of silence.
There is the silence that takes away the breath, that of waiting for a great event, that of absence, then there is the one sought, wanted, loved, finally obtained, that brings the individual on the side, but within reality. This seemingly difficult condition allows you to observe the world and the men who crowd it with a serene detachment, feeling part of the whole but being able to stay out of it.
For some individuals this state that they almost consider of grace is exercised in a natural, almost instinctive way and does not bring any pain but only a serene living.

The artist you will find in these pages is an inhabitant of this world and with this exhibition is illustrated for the first time.
Here he expresses himself with his colors imprinted with mastery, in canvases that seem to belong to adult hands and amaze and wonder with primordial charm.
But there is much more to tell...
This universe lacks the second part of heaven attendance: Music.
Yes, music, because to everything you see, you have to add, imagining it, the melody of a piano that giants over the notes of Litz, Beethoven, Chopin or Mozart.
Music and painting thus become two fast arrows toward the future, not dissolving the eternal dilemma if it is really necessary to make one’s life a work of art.

However, if someone at this point thinks that he has come across some desire for gender reformism or wrong substance, because all Esteban does is to have fun, play with his own character and enjoy the result as a true aesthetic.

An exercise for itself, which is never touched by the judgment of others and their needs.
A journey started years ago, when he started to read a pentagram and, on the other hand, to master first the pencils and then the oil colours.
A daily activity that rarely crossed the walls of the house and that thanks to a wonderful family, slowly, has sprouted into something that deserves to be known.

The first to notice the pictorial art of our Esteban, was his grandfather Luciano who one day, after seeing his works, drawing on his enormous baggage in this field, said to him: "Keep working like this... I'll give you a year and I'll show you!".
Here, now this invitation has been collected and, in your hands today, you can hold a joyful realization, a first vagueness of an artist that makes us well hope and at the same time almost unknowingly collects a heavy legacy of Paladins, who have always been "fruiters" of modernity.
Have a good trip.
