In the series "The 4th Dimension" the bodies move like kidnapped by a pathos that shakes them from the inside and almost lifts them. They evoke mythological figures, sometimes even grotesque; angelic or demonic figures, bearers of eros and grace or eros and perdition.
The particular technique condenses in an instant the beauty of a movement of a few seconds that the human eye has failed to capture.

My images are made using a self-built three-dimensional scanner. This is to emphasize that the deformations of the bodies are due to the particular technique and the use of long exposure times, without the use of photomontage. Digital dosing is limited to basic settings.
The first shots were made in film, later in digital.
Scanning a moving body compresses in a single frame movements belonging to a time span of a few seconds. Thus the human figure in dance finds the union with the mythological figures and the fusion in the "one" that represents the beautiful and grotesque, the two faces of the same medal.
